Professor Sachs will speak on the role of the private sector in driving sustainable investment and offer his thoughts on

-- Where these opportunities exist in the face of political gridlock.

-- How the business community can participate in the development of the sustainability market.

-- The sweet spot for investors, i.e. where business can contribute to sustainability, environmental justice and increased profits.

Professor Sachs is the Quetelet Professor of Sustainable Development, and Professor of Health Policy and Management at Columbia University. He is also Special Advisor to United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. He was recently named among the 100 most influential people in the world by Time magazine.
