Dwight Hall at Yale and Coop Center for Creativity, Inc. seek teaching assistants for afterschool programming at Cooperative Arts and Humanities High School in downtown New Haven.

The programs will run from March 29, 2010 – June 18, 2010 and students can be hired for the full duration of the program or for the following periods:

March 29 – May 7

May 3 – June 18

 

Writing (Mondays and Wednesdays, 2:15 – 5:15pm) (2:30 arrival is ok)

We are seeking undergraduates or recent grads to assist our writing teacher Greg Santos in conducting a writing workshop.  Classes are Mondays and Wednesdays 2:15 - 5:15 pm and will begin next week and continue for 12 weeks.  Our focus is on helping high school students hone their writing skills by working on creative writing, personal statements and college essays and improving their writing homework.  We are hoping to find 1-2 teaching assistants that can help give students one-on-one attention during class. This is a paid position.  

 

Glee Club (Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2:15 – 4:15pm) (2:30 arrival is ok)

We are seeking undergraduates or recent grads to provide support to the Glee Club, led by Whiffenpoof Jerry Lieblich.  A student with experience in vocal performance is preferable, but not required.  This is a paid position.

 

We are also seeking Teaching Assistants, mentors, and support staff in all program areas, including Theater, Visual Arts, and Graphic Design.
