Greetings Yale Students!

I am the associate director of Yale's Interdisciplinary Center for Bioethics. The Bioethics Center supports scholars, study groups, symposia, and especially courses on our campus containing many facets of bioethics. Our aim is to help you to understand your own motivations and the challenges of living ethically in our global world. Our concerns encompass issues in medicine, research, science, law, religion, and the environment. This semester we are offering study groups and larger group meetings which focus on reproductive ethics, children's rights, disabilities, end-of-life issues, animal ethics, technology, aging, and biotechnology & agriculture.

Every summer we hold our Summer Institute in Bioethics, an intensive eight-week immersion in the above-mentioned concerns and more -- with morning lectures, afternoon seminars, and field trips. You can learn more about this Summer Institute by visiting our website (see below) and clicking on the "Summer Program." And please see the attached poster as well.

We welcome your attendance at any of our programs! Please visit our website (www.yale.edu/bioethics) to find out more about us and what we can offer you. I can add your e-mail address to our list-serve so that you can receive our Friday Newsletter. This Newsletter outlines not only our offerings on a weekly basis but also other events taking place around the campus which may be of interest.

I am available to talk with any of you who want to learn more about our academic year programs or our summer program. ( This email address is hidden from email harvesters via JavaScript or 203.432.6188) I can also meet with you at the Bioethics Center (238 Prospect Street).

I hope to see you at some of our events!
