There are a few places left for what promises to be a most fascinating evening! Join us in a lively discussion with Ned Lamont SOM ‘80, US Senate candidate from Connecticut. A chance to focus and learn something about the realities of politics as we start this critical period leading up to ’08. Ned challenged career politician Joe Lieberman, surprised the nation by unseating him for the Democratic candidacy but lost the race. The campaign had several SOM alums in key positions who led energetic grassroots and netroots effort. The Republicans claim that anti-war Democrats looked “weak” to voters and that Lamont alienated a “pro-war center”. The Democrats accused him of being a one-issue candidate. Find out what did happen and what the American political process is really like, from the inside.
