Starting on Tuesday June 3rd at 8:30 pm and ending on Thursday, June 5th at 10:30 pm, Comic Strip Live will set the Guinness World Record for the Longest Stand Up Comedy Show.  For 50 continuous hours, there will be laughter without end with the country's brightest stars shining on stage.   
 
Audiences can expect over 100 professional standup comedians to grace the Comic Strip Live stage. Some will be up and comers with a few years of solid NYC stage experience, most will be seasoned professionals.  Sets will run from 20 minutes to hours long.  Comic Strip Live has offered an open invitation to Dave Chappelle & Dane Cook to finally settle their "longest individual stage time" competition during Comic Strip Live's 50-hour world record show.   
 
For the entire 50 hours of the world record attempt, there will always be a professional comedian on stage, an audience, club & wait staff and, of course, non-stop laughs.  On each of the three nights (June 3 to 5) from 8:30 pm to 10:30 pm, Comic Strip Live will still have their regular weeknight stand up shows as part of the record.  Outside of those times, and while setting the record, audience members can stop by whenever they want (free admission), for as long as they want to watch comedy while being treated to a bevy of free bagels, chips, popcorn, donuts, coffee, sodas and energy drinks.  Additionally, on Wednesday and Thursday from 7:00 am to 10:00 am, free breakfast will be served.
 
In addition to setting the world record, this event will also allow Comic Strip Live to raise money for the USO. This will be done by selling sponsorships and accepting donations throughout the 50-hour event.  100% of the monetary donations received will be donated to the USO.  Also, the 50 hours of comedy will be edited down and the USO will play it for the soldiers both in the US and oversees (part of the Armed Forces Network).    
 

Join us for a day of golf to benefit Yale Athletics! Coaches or a special guest will join each foursome. The 12th annual event is an 18-hole shotgun scramble with teams of five players. Your day includes a full round of golf, carts, driving range, tee package, breakfast, lunch and after-golf reception, raffle and auction.

East Village Chronicles, Vol 5 runs Thursday, Friday, Saturday @ 8:00 pm, and Sunday @ 2:00 pm, June 5 through 22nd.  The show consists of eight new one-act plays, divided into two alternating four play performances.  All of the plays deal with various aspects of life - past and present - in the East Village and Lower East Side.  SCOTT GLASCOCK '74 appears in Famine Church on Thurdays and Saturdays and in McGurk's Suicide Hall Saloon on Fridays and Sundays.

The Colorful Road to Happiness

Most of us live our days filled to the brim with commitments, responsibilities, appointments - you get the picture.  Building in a sufficient balance of quiet, relaxing, renewing time may be the perfect antidote to stress, burnout and unhappiness.

Pamela Hochstetter, M. Div. will discuss the benefits of creating a Process Art practice.  What is Process Art?  Who should try it?  Do you need to be an artist?  Where can you do it?  These and other questions generated by attendees will be enthusiastically addressed.

Pamela Hochstetter is a life-long practicing artist, Process Art facilitator, educator and spiritual guide.  She holds a Master of Divinity degree from YaleDivinitySchool, as well as a Bachelor's, summa cum laude, in art & education.  Her training in Process Art was with Jane Gross, MA, LCSW.

A BENEFIT FOR THE DANCERS' EMERGENCY FUND

This one-time-only program, initiated by Peter Martins, features12 excerpts from NYCB's vast repertoire.  The evening will also include a World Premiere by NYCB Soloist Adam Hendrickson to music by corps de ballet member Aaron Severini. 

Proceeds from ticket sales benefit the Dancers' Emergency Fund.  Program conceived and supervised by Principal Dancer Jonathan Stafford with help from his fellow dancers.
