YaleNet - Smart Matters - It's My Park! Day

You can get involved in planting, painting restoration and clean up projects and enjoy free events in a neighborhood park near you! Organized by Partnerships for Parks, It's My Park! Day brings thousands of volunteers to more than 150 sites in all five boroughs. New Yorkers come together to care for and celebrate their shared neighborhood parks by participating in clean up and restoration projects, enjoying free cultural events or just getting outside to enjoy their community. Projects and events are organized by local community groups, corporate partners, or Parks and City Parks Foundation staff. This May, volunteers will be painting playgrounds, restoring park trails, going for hikes and canoe trips, planting flowers, and generally sprucing up their parks.
