Elm City College Prep Middle School needs a yearbook co-instructor to work with students during the College Prep period. The co-instructor would focus on developing student skills in layout design (Sept-Jan) and oversee applying those skills to create the yearbook (Feb-May). Ideally, the applicant will already have a background in graphic design or a strong knack for it.

We have the students working on Pagemaker (PC), a pretty easy program to pick-up. The co-instructor should be comfortable training students on basic picture adjustment (picnik.com), page layout, etc.  The co-instructor should also be comfortable pushing students to meet deadlines. This year, we are trying to work on strengthening student skills to push more heavy-lifting in their direction.

The applicant must be available two days a week (Mon. and Wed. OR Tues. and Thurs.) from 3-4:15pm. Understandably, additional paid time would be considered for work outside of this time (cleaning up student work, preparing lessons, etc.) Compensation is available and discussed upon skill-level and availability.

Interested parties should email a brief statement and a resume to This email address is hidden from email harvesters via JavaScript  . Interviews will take place as soon as applications are received.
