A perfect event for Mothers Day! This concert is full of firsts as violist Kim Foster Wallace and pianist Eric Dudley present a concert of rarely performed chamber music for viola and piano. This outstanding duo reunites for the first time in New York City to present works of Bartok, Nino Rota, Shostakovich, Frank Bridge, and will offer the American premiere of English composer Granville Bantocks Viola Sonata from 1919. As a special Mothers Day event, mothers in attendance will receive special recognition and all are invited to stay for a wine reception following the concert. Please join us in rediscovering these gems of the viola repertoire and in honoring mothers at this unique event.
